Founded in 2023, Brilliant Feminine is a community based organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women in Maralal, Samburu County, Kenya. Our core focus lies in addressing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) – critical issues that hinder their development and well-being.
We envision a future where girls in Maralal are free from the physical and psychological trauma associated with FGM and GBV. We aim to cultivate a generation of self-assured young women equipped with the skills and confidence to realize their full potential.
Our mission is to create a more equitable and just society where all women, girls, and youth can thrive. We believe that by providing access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and platforms for cultural expression, we can help them reach their full potential and become agents of change within their communities. We strive to create a space where young people can develop life skills, build confidence through sports, and connect with their cultural heritage, ensuring that valuable traditional knowledge is passed down to future generations.
